On Thursday, March 5, we have a Full Moon in the mutable
earth sign of Virgo, sign of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and hygiene. Improvement-oriented Moon in
Virgo often carries a tone of delivering a great deal of external and internal
criticism – dishing it out, but can we take it? Ironically, Virgo is also highly
sensitive, and during this lunation, any old wounds or buttons that remain in us – our weak spots – might
be called to the surface for healing, once and for all.
Venus, Mars, and
Uranus are all are nestled together in independent, outspoken Aries, all conjunct the transiting Moon’s South Node, taking direct action to help us
release the past. In order to help us break the bond with our personal and collective histories, there is an element of challenge in the
air. This will more than likely manifest as someone or something testing you in
a manner that you thought was resolved long ago.
“The wound is the place where the light enters you.” ~ Rumi
People, authorities, institutions,
groups, and loved ones might be suddenly in our face, out of the blue for no
apparent reason, kicking sand in our face. (We could even be tested by outdated parts of our own psyche.) While the confrontation might be
painful, or we’re thrown way off-kilter for a moment, we must trust that the
Universe – Life Itself – knows what it’s doing to be bringing this old sore
spot up once again.
An adjustment is required here. We must grow up even more. See if there’s
still a speck of that weak victim spot left inside of you, still vulnerable. This
wound may be Virgo related: “I’m not perfect. I’m not good enough.” More than likely, there are bound to be tones of self-doubt or self-criticism. These
leave us susceptible to outside attack, and therefore must be transformed.
The current planetary picture indicates that unless we are uncomfortably challenged,
we won’t do the work of giving up the wound. So how do we let it go? How do we
heal? Each case is different, yet more than likely, the remedy will involve a
tremendous amount of Piscean self-compassion. We have the Sun conjunct Neptune and Chiron, the Wounded Healer in watery Pisces
opposing this Full Moon. That’s a whole flood of grace coming our way in the sign of Unconditional Love. Liken this to a spiritual infusion offering a
local anesthetic to help take the edge off.
Remember, the fearsome individual or entity that is baring
its teeth like a scary warrior is challenging you for a very specific reason:
so you can come home to being even more of your SELF. You don’t have to FIX yourself.
You are whole just as you are, perfectly imperfect and beautiful in your own unique way.
This is a time where any harmful, unconscious bonds that we
have made earlier in this lifetime with those who have abused or harmed us can
be broken. This is the end of the perpetrator-victim cycle. You might be shown
how you’ve previously allowed yourself to be taken advantage of sexually, financially,
professionally, socially. Then, a situation arises to reenact the same cycle,
only this time, you’re conscious of it.
Awaken, beware, and be aware. Practice your internal
martial arts and be savvy and agile enough to not let the dagger in. It's not your stuff to take on. You can turn your back
on this monster once and for all. You don’t even have to give them the privilege of a
fight or the luxury of your attention; you walk out the door and leave them there, alone and stunned. They do
not get to access any more of your power. You are done.
Such is the potential of our Full Moon in Virgo. This is the
last lunation before the culminating Pluto-Uranus cardinal square of March 15-17. We are in
final days of preparation for a big growth spurt, and the more awareness we can bring during this
evolutionary push, the better.
