Eclipsed: Out of the Blue!

Happy full moon, everyone!

This has been a wild supermoon eclipse, filled with ups and downs and all-arounds. I’ve learned over the years of tracking eclipse energy that it’s best to ride the waves, to expect the unexpected, and to enjoy this tumultuous time - just as I would an Oscar-worthy adventure film.

While it can seem a rocky road during eclipse season, it can also herald in wonderful new opportunities and groundbreaking flashes of insight. Uranus, planet of unpredictability and surprise awakenings, squares this Full Moon, adding more jolt and genius to the mix. Yesterday, my partner and I enjoyed an impromptu brainstorming session over breakfast in which we came up with some wild, instant solutions to complex life quandaries – et voila! – just like that! We just had to keep our brains loose, and think bigger. Completely out of the box.

This is the energy in the air. Totally unforeseen answers and miracles and insights and opening doors and opportunities – oh my! Don’t be scared of the total unpredictability and quick changes. The cosmos is making it possible for you to step into your next, exciting life chapter. I’ve always seen eclipses as “the hand of God.” Imagine your life and all of the players and parts as a giant chessboard. The hand of the Divine comes along out of nowhere, and like a quick move, picks up a Knight, Bishop, Queen and… suddenly, you’re on the other side of the board, gobsmacked, wondering how you got all the way over there in a split second! But happier for it!

Beneficent Venus and Jupiter are dancing closely, conjunct at this full moon in horsing-around Sagittarius. These two grandiose planets innately love each other – Aphrodite and Zeus – and they can cook up some mighty exciting, ginormous and inflated plans. But fear not! These concoctions can actually work! They’re super-powered!

Trust in Big Ideas, that come out of seeming Nowhere, right now. Take a deep breath and – whoosh! – you’re squealing with glee like a kid on a bobsled landing in a heap of fresh powder. What are you waiting for?

Notes on Neptune and More!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

I am so grateful to have had a beautiful journey in India with a few days side trip to Sri Lanka - ahhhhh. This trip lasted about 3 weeks - very short time in the Motherland for me, but I'm learning to make the most of shorter dips back Om. In my previous life, 3 months was short - and that was appropriate for a hermit-pilgrim-spiritual ashramite. But now, I have a fulfilling and cozy base in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving clients all over the world…

Neptune in Pisces: Nearing the Halfway Point
An important note on Neptune: The planet of spiritual dissolving, Oneness, unconditional Love is about midway (14-15 degrees) through his journey through Pisces, where he will remain until January 2026. Neptune is the natural ruler of the non-dual sign of the Fishes. You might be feeling this nebulousness deepening, settling into your own soul. If you are sensitive, or an empath or healer type, or have been on a spiritual journey for a long time, you might be noticing how it’s increasingly difficult, if not impossible to “hold onto” anything – any belief system, concept, illusion of the future, expectation of what “should” be. You might be experiencing this as disorienting. You might need more rest, time off, time out of time.

Mata Kali and her Devoted One
You might be so sensitive to foods or substances that your whole entire intake habits may have to be adjusted. You might have to make a greater sacrifice for several months, or years, in order to allow the spiritual transformation to be fully embodied. Many folks have had to give up certain grains, or fruits, sugar, or animal products, etc. Some people must relinquish alcohol, or wines, cannabis, tobacco, caffeine etc. just because Neptune has made the physical body unable to process these things for the time being. You may not be able to spend time with certain toxic individuals. Whereas before you were more tolerant of challenging environments or people, you may now notice you become physically ill even when having a conversation with these folks on the phone or by email.

Neptune’s waters are purifying the body-mind-soul. We are no longer able to pretend we are separate from our environment, from the Whole, from Each Other. Increased sensitivity is helping us to understand this on an embodied level. If you’re being called to make a sacrifice in order to allow this dissolving process, know that you are on the right track. It may not be forever – that which is given up may be brought back into your life again in the future. But for now, it is what your body-mind-soul need. Take heed. Neptune is bringing us renewal. Feel the support of Divine Presence in this process. You are not alone.

With love and blessings,
Erin

New Year's Wish for You from India + pics! 🙏

Namaste and Happy New Year from Mumbai, India!

We fly home tomorrow. It's been an amazing journey the past three weeks. a delightful masala of rural and urban, mountains, rivers, and beaches, and the contrast of ashrams and cities, spirit and secular, ancient and modern.

This is probably my 12th or 15th trip to India - can't figure it properly. I feel relaxed and at home here, in that way we feel when someplace once foreign becomes a known and welcome landscape. To the terrain of my psyche, India is a home, a place of refuge.

Here in Bombay, I always sense the magic of contrasts the most. Millionaires sleep in high rises over the street dwellers in a symbiotic, mutually interdependent relationship. Each feels both trapped and free in his or her own way. Servant and Master. Each needs the other. Who is defining whom?

This is the first time I've traveled with a male partner by my side, and I am now automatically treated with more respect. Folks aren't subconsciously wondering as much if I am a lonely, lost lady - a weird witchy wanderer to be feared or pitied. Now that I am appearing as someone's wife/partner, I belong more in the storyline. I make sense in their schema of things. Locals relax, thus I relax more, and we can get on with our day.

This is purely cultural, a generalization as well. It is something I notice: how everyone breathes easier when the picture fits the conditioning, for better or for worse.

Emotionally, I am deeply affected. I am left feeling a tremendous sense of respect for the courage, fearlessness, strength required of my former self, the me who traveled for all those years as a solo, single female explorer bushwhacking through India.

It was a lot of stress. And worth every bit of it. To have the guts to burn through conditioning, year after year, facing risk and questioning faces. I burned through my own identification as well. To be truly free.

And that freedom is the ultimate gift. Jackpot!

And that freedom, dear friend, is what I wish for you this New Year. Accept What Is. Beyond Condition. And be free.

With all my love,
Erin
