Travel writer Erin Reese, author of The Adventures of Bindi Girl, takes us on a journey around the holy mountain of Shiva, Arunachala, in Tiruvannamalai, India. This 14 km pilgrimage is called "girivalam" (circumambulation) or Pradakshina (the Hindu rite of going round the object of worship).

It's like a really intimate National Geographic film. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful glimpse of the real India. You must be received as quite the exotic woman there -- different and yet the same. Love the Parrot Tarot! I especially liked the effect of watching the legs and bare feet on the road, AND the way when you point your camera at the sun, it creates a purple vertical beam of light straight down to the earth. It happened on the last video as well. That's got to be cosmic. And the music! So cool.... Thanks for providing the credits. It's absolutely hypnotic. Nice work, Bindi Girl..... Namaste and safe travels.
