New Moon Astro-Tarot Forecast – February 28, 2014

Tonight, February 28, chiming at midnight (11:59 p.m. PT and 2:59 a.m. ET / 7:59 a.m. UT March 1), we have a New Moon in the flowing, mutable water sign of Pisces, heralding blissful beginnings.

UNIVERSAL PERFECTION

There’s a hit zoology book out entitled Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know by Alexandra Horowitz. The New York Times bestseller explores dog cognition and perception, and apparently, one of the key findings is that the mind of Dog breaks things and experiences down into two main conceptual categories: (1) “Dog” and (2) “not Dog.”

When my friend Laura told me about this book, I found it interesting because I am an animal lover. Furry friends make my world better, for sure. But what I found really intriguing was the way my pal extrapolated on the “Dog”/”not Dog” main point of the book. Laura said she is now breaking things in her human world down to two conceptual categories: (1) “God” and (2) “not God.”

Yes, keeping one’s eye on the Divine – this is indeed the flavor of the New Moon in Pisces. Whether we call it The Universe, Consciousness, Oneness, Great Mystery, Shiva… it doesn’t matter. Whatever name we give the Source, it’s all the same. We know it when we feel its presence – the present moment. I personally like the made-up term “Is-ness,” or “What Is.” When it comes down to Existence, there isn’t a lot to argue about. There’s a whole lotta peace in knowing that it’s all God, and it’s in the here and now.

Radical and total Self-acceptance of wherever we are at and whatever is happening on Life’s great continuum is the penultimate message of Pisces. Wherever this New Moon falls in your birth chart* is precisely where we would do well to ease up, Nelly, on the path. Pisces asks us to enter into a fully relaxed, trusting state of consciousness. Let G-O-D (a.k.a. ‘good orderly direction’) take over now, and see what arises all by itself. Give up all effort stemming from self-willfulness. Allow your gaze to soften and see how things are easeful and flowing, and how everything is provided for perfectly in the moment.

How do we know if we’re in the “God” zone or the “not God” zone? Simple. Ask yourself if you’re firmly fine and at peace with What Is. If not, keep chucking out the mental garbage that tells you things should be different. Keep going deeper, allowing concepts that cover up the purity of Existence to dissolve, one by one, into the Piscean eternal sea. Ultimately, you will reach the nuomenal (thing-in-itself) space where you are, as you are… Free to Be.

Flexible, flowing Pisces – a mutable water sign - is the 12th and last sign of the Zodiac. At the end of the day, Pisces reminds us that both the great and powerful King and the servile Pawn are scooped back into the same chess box, no matter how the game was played and no matter how it shall be played tomorrow. We all return to the same Oneness.

Now, without further ado, let us look at how this New Moon cycle is affecting you!
For best results, as always, be sure to read for your Sun, Moon and Rising Sign.

If you love these forecasts, why not show your support with a contribution? It's good karma!

New Moon in Pisces
Friday, February 28, 2014

After purifying the Voyager Tarot deck and calling upon my guides, here are my channeled messages for the New Moon in Pisces…

UNIVERSAL CARD (for everyone):

COMPASSION – THREE OF WANDS
What a beautiful card for us all to contemplate on this Piscean New Moon! We are gently reminded to align ourselves with the Universal will. Ease up on ourselves and have compassion. Use your hands not to push yourself or others, but rather to give yourself the “thumbs up” or “OK” signal. We all need a little more acceptance. Live and let live.

 ARIES:
IX - HERMIT
The New Moon falls in your Twelfth House of soul and spirit, Ram. You may feel like retreating from the World a bit as March kicks in. I know it’s nearing your birthday time, but perhaps you need to give yourself some respite and less socializing. Get in touch with your deepest self and your Inner Voice. Take some time alone to BE.

TAURUS:
4 OF CUPS - ANGER
Any residual frustration stored in your body-mind, Taurus, might be stemming from sneaky resistance to What Is. Check to be sure you aren’t harboring any hidden demands on your self or Life to be anything other than perfection as it is.

GEMINI:
II - PRIESTESS
This Pisces New Moon falls in your Tenth House of career, profession, notoriety and the public eye. You are going to be recognized in some new way for your soft-spoken wisdom. Let others come to you for advice or consultation now. It’s about attraction rather than promotion. No need to clamor for attention.

CANCER:
MAN OF WORLDS - ACHIEVER
Strive to put your best Crab claw forward now, Cancer. You have big dreams in life that shouldn’t fall away. They relate to your soul’s development. Are you giving time to your visions and spiritual practices that support those dreams? Keep swimming!

LEO:
ACE OF CUPS - ECSTACY
Bounty and union with the Divine are here for you now, Lion. Let your fears fall away and have the courage to let more love in, more joy, and more trust. You can indulge in pleasures of the senses now – the New Moon in Pisces wants Leo to follow the yellow brick road to bliss.

VIRGO:
XVIII – THE MOON
You love to plan and like things organized, Virgo, but the New Moon in Pisces urges you to surrender to the mystery. At this cycle, you may not know what is happening or where you or others close to you are headed. It’s okay. Trust the process.

LIBRA:
 XIV - ART
It’s time for you to blend creativity and self-expression into your daily life’s work. No one says spirituality has to be non-productive. They go together – your work and spirit. Make your tasks and your art into a match made in heaven this month.

SCORPIO:
XIII - DEATH
Ah, the Scorpio card of Death comes up for you, the Scorpio Eagle. You know there is nothing truly like death in the universe – it is simply a transition from one state to another. Let the concepts of what you think comprises your identity keep dying off, especially those related to how you express yourself. Therein lies true freedom.

SAGITTARIUS:
6 OF CRYSTALS - CONFUSION
Sometimes the nebulous nature of Pisces can be a real mish-mash of confusion. You may be wondering how to apply all this soulful energy to your goals. If it feels like mayhem now, you could be trying too hard to make decisions too soon. Wait a couple weeks before trying to make tough choices. Things are still falling into place.

CAPRICORN:
III – THE EMPRESS
You like to use your hands to create, build and grow things; you are an Earth sign after all. Mother Nature is a great example for you of the bounty available in your life. Use your imagination to make a new art piece, think of what you want in your springtime garden, nurture the people in your life. Healing is available to you now.

AQUARIUS:
3 OF CRYSTALS - CREATIVITY
If you’ve been pondering how to increase your income or how to manifest some needed thing into your world, wait no longer. The answer is here, Aquarius! When Pisces energy is afoot, the answer is to get creative. Work your magic, be visual, and above all, be willing to try something new. Stand on your ear for a fresh perception and get ready to be excited at what comes through!

PISCES:
9 OF WORLDS - HARVEST
This is YOUR time, Fish. Reap all the yummy goodness of the celestial spheres. You know you can live off stardust, dreams, music, and movies. You only need to feed your soul properly and the rest will follow. Nourish your wondrous spirit!

Full Moon Astro-Tarot Forecast - February 14, 2014

Hi friends: These forecasts are in effect for the two weeks surrounding the Moon cycle.

On Friday, February 14, we experienced a super-charged Full Moon in Leo.

DISCIPLINED LOVE

Oh, it would be so nice to discuss the virtues of Leo love with hearts and flowers, in line with Valentine’s Day weekend. But this Full Moon was squared by Saturn in Scorpio, giving us a jab that love sometimes doesn’t come easy.
Leo at its best is filled with generosity, love, and loyalty. The Lion is ruled by the heart, and wants to shower others with affection and receive connection in turn. Leo, a fire sign, basks in the gaze of a lover, and glows bright in return on the best of days.
Yet there can be a shadow side to Leo energy: narcissism or self-indulgence. Sometimes, Leo is about “Me, Me, Me.” All signs of the zodiac have a shadow – I’m not picking on Leo! Right now, the Sun is in Aquarius so the reactive response to a selfish Leo demand for love and attention is the cold shoulder of Aquarius: I will not meet your personal needs, and I will be hard and fast in this manner. You must learn to exist without my attention.
Ugh. Who wants that kind of combo on Valentine’s weekend, right? This lesson is further driven home by the presence of a 90-degree square by Saturn in Scorpio: the hard knocks school of intimacy. Overcoming self-absorption is tough, especially when we’re still working through a bunch of baggage that keeps us in anxiety about relationships. We fear the other person may hurt us, or neglect us, or abandon us – so we pull the reins in tighter to protect our hearts. The result: our partners, our family, and our friends may feel we are closing our selves off to them, even when we mean well.
So how do we overcome self-absorption to emerge as better lovers? The first step is awareness, of course - noticing when we're overly fixed on OUR needs or self-preservation. The second step is practice - fake it til you make it, and try to serve your lover even if it feels foreign at that moment. Do something to pull yourself out of your self and show compassion and attentiveness. It may take a few tries, but if your beloved is a true Valentine, he or she will start to notice, and respond in kind. Practical love is often about service, and discipline. As Erich Fromm writes in his classic The Art of Loving, “Love isn't something natural. Rather it requires discipline, concentration, patience, faith, and the overcoming of narcissism. It isn't a feeling, it is a practice.”
And then there is the lighter side of Leo... Play!

LET YOUR INNER KID OUT

To be a kid again... This is another hint of the Full Moon in Leo. This past weekend, my boyfriend and I prowled around the Oakland Zoo amongst Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My! My Inner Kid gazed in awe at giraffes, hyenas, gibbons, baboons and squirrel monkeys. The zany zebras were one of the day’s highlights, along with a pair of beautiful North African camels necking in the setting sun.

The next day the animal antics continued: my beloved and I hiked over to the horse stables in the open space near my house, apropos as we have just kicked off the Year of the Horse. Once again, the child in me reveled in the pleasure of cozying up to large creatures. I delighted in petting the horse in that ultra-soft snout spot on its nose. I highly recommend spending time around these gorgeous animals – your Inner Kid will love you for it.
So, in tune with the Full Moon in Leo, it’s time to play more, lighten up and deliberately invoke more JOY. If you need a little help to “enlighten up,” check out my pal Alicia’s FREE teleclass: Alicia Dattner is a spiritual comedian and coach. Erin Reese’s channeled Astro-Tarot messages

Full Moon in Leo
Friday, February 14, 2014

After purifying the Voyager Tarot deck and calling upon my guides, here are my channeled messages.

UNIVERSAL CARD (for everyone):

BRILLIANCE – ACE OF CRYSTALS
Turn on your heart light. Let your love be illuminated fully to your loved ones in your life. Don’t hold back. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to let someone know you care deeply for them. You can start with a hug, followed by a kind word of appreciation. Let any hard shell you normally carry crack open, and see how the other person responds.

 ARIES:
XI - STRENGTH
Oh, yes, Aries, your heart is beating strong right now. You are one of the most courageous signs, and now you muster the courage to love even more. Start with loving yourself. Feminine strength will get the job done much faster than sheer might right now. Practice the internal martial arts of yielding and receptivity.

TAURUS:
8 OF CUPS - STAGNATION
Get moving, Taurus. You’ve been stagnating a bit on personal projects and all that goodness you possess, that luscious beauty, needs to flow. Just break the dam and start. A flood may follow. You'll feel so much better once you begin. It doesn't have to be perfect.

GEMINI:
9 OF WORLDS - HARVEST
Good things come to those who tap into their talents, and you, Twin, have a million and one to choose from. Wondering where cash is going to come from lately? Simply unearth a previously explored tool or idea and share it with the World.

CANCER:
MAN OF CRYSTALS - INVENTOR
You need a new solution to a work or professional issue, Crab. Put on your thinking cap and try a logical approach. This is not your normal M.O. but somehow the more analytical part of your brain needs to crunch numbers and make a time management plan. This work will pay huge dividends.

LEO:
XVII – THE STAR
Yep, you’re in the spotlight at this Full Moon cycle, Lion! That vision you’ve been tossing around your head of late – the one that’s super close to your heart – well, it’s time to follow that desire and passion. Nothing is stopping you. Shine your sunlight bright!

VIRGO:
ACE OF WORLDS - SUCCESS
Start fresh, Virgo, on a project that’s being offered to you now. It’s a good opportunity to use your practical skills. You need a new start in the work arena. Trust this is the right one.

LIBRA:
 VII – THE CHARIOT
You’re still pushing and crushing forward on your goals, Libra. You like to keep things in harmony but now that requires you to balance the tension of opposites. Master the forces of duality by not being a pushover. Lead!

SCORPIO:
X - FORTUNE
Money is available now to be earned, used, and transformed into different forms now, Scorpio. You are in a period of learning how to manifest and reorganize material resources. Honor this process as it’s a long-term challenge. You’re getting there.

SAGITTARIUS:
8 OF WANDS - CHANGE
After months of riding a wave of going and doing and exploring your visions fervently, Sag, you are finally on the precipice of a very big shift. Don’t resist. It is life doing its evolutionary thing. Allow the new to come in and the old to fall away.

CAPRICORN:
SAGE OF WORLDS - MASTER
In many ways, Cap, you are the wise woman or sage man of the Zodiac. You’re like a chief advisor to the rest of us and we look to you to teach us how to do practical things better. Honor this role in yourself, your family, community and world.

AQUARIUS:
WOMAN OF WANDS - SENSOR
You’re wondering how to make all this stuff that’s currently on your plate come to fruition. Well, you need to work some Aquarian magic. It’s not about working harder right now; it’s about letting your subconscious play tricks of manifestation to move heaven and earth with the least amount of effort. You know how to do it. Hone your consciousness.

PISCES:
6 OF CRYSTALS - CONFUSION
Your mind is getting a bit over-activated of late, and it appears to be an issue of love or money, or both combined. Let the chips fall where they may right now and try not to make any major decisions for a week or so. Things will clear up by your birthday time.
