Testimonials:

“This course made a big difference for me! I’m more in tune with my intuition. It helped hone my skills.” ~ Robyn R.
“Erin’s class brought the cards alive for me.  Through her wisdom and example they have become friends, mentors and guides.  Her teachings unlocked the cards inner wisdom, helping me to connect to my own intuition and “something bigger” that comes through the tarot.” ~ Keith H.
“I learned so much. I highly recommend it.” ~ Linda R.
"I started Erin's tarot mastery course very spiritually depleted and was simply looking for a place to feed my spirit and maybe learn something new, but I got so much more. Three months later I am giving tarot readings professionally, but more importantly, my cup has been filled so that I have the vigor and presence of mind to be of service to other people.” ~ Amanda L.
"Erin's approach to Tarot encourages self reflection and our own intuition.  Of course we learn what the cards mean, but this is beyond what you can learn from memorization.  Through her guidance, she encourages us to trust ourselves and what we "see."  I've given myself readings for many years, it wasn't until this class, that I was able to put together the spreads, the cards, and my own perception.  Now, instead of reading from a book first, my reading comes first and the book is truly just for reference. I have so much trust in my own interpretation, thank you, Erin!" ~ Quinn M.

Full Moon in Gemini: Liberated Relationship

"I hold this to be the highest task of a bond between two people: that each should stand guard over the solitude of the other."
~ Rainer Maria Rilke
Ibejí twins,Yoruba Orisha, early 20th Century
Twins, Duality, Joy, Mischief, Abundance, Children

Today, we welcome the Full Moon in the mutable air sign of Gemini, The Twins. The mercurial Twins represent Duality, the self and other in constant conversation. This is not the “we-ness” of Libra, not the balancing of harmony, peace and collaboration, partnership and committed contracts, no. Gemini is cheekier and punchier, symbolizing a face-off of ideas. Here we have the counterpoint, the expression of opposites, the to-and-fro dance of energies that make up the universe.

We know the buzz of Gemini energies holding forth in writing, speaking, networking, media. We hear of the Twins’ spread of information, studies, learning and teaching. But we don’t often focus on the tension that impish Gemini energy poses. One doesn’t have to be an actual Gemini to feel this; it is an inherent part of the human condition. And during full moon in Gemini season, the height of the Western world’s craze for the holidays, we have the possibility for stress and conflict.

Nowhere is this more obvious than our closest relationships – between friends and family members, for sure. And the utmost: intimate partnership, marriage, romantic companionship. You’ll notice Gemini when that feeling of sibling rivalry emerges – poking or questioning, subtle one-upmanship, pulling rank, jockeying for position. You say tomato, I say tomahto. You say light, I say shadow. You need to be close, I need to breathe.

It is time for Liberated Relationship.

In liberated relationship, it is critical to grow to a level of spiritual maturity in which we understand that healthy relatedness must contain the care of the soul of the other, to protect the other’s solitude. And if this sets off one’s fear of abandonment or loneliness – therein lies the work.

For true freedom, one must eventually realize that the Ultimate Resource is the Self, and the Ultimate Relationship is with the Self. Human relationships are fallible, impermanent, relative. They can support our growth in beautiful and striking ways – we can work through our attachment wounds, heal from trauma, and actualize our lives. We can raise children, grow creative projects, and fulfill our heart’s desire. We can have pleasure, adventure, and joyous shared celebration.  And yet, for lasting and unshakable peace, one must come to realize that the Self is beyond time and space, and ultimately it is beyond relationship.

Gemini shows us aspects of the Self by pointing out the opposite. We get glimpses of the Eternal through experiencing the Other. However, it is not the whole picture. If we stay in duality, we stay in suffering. Duality is an appearance, a glimpse of the whole as it arises.

How does this work in actual day to day living? See if you can find and feel the spaciousness in relationship. Realize you are already free, it is not contingent on the other. Realize that You as Self are Beyond Relationship. This realization sets self and other free.

See what happens next. Do they reenter your story, from moment to moment? A relationship, whether with a friend, family member, or lover, only happens in the Now. It is not in the future, or the past. It is here. The moment there is a clinging to an idea of what it is supposed to look like, how it is going to manifest, you are trapped once again.

Olly olly oxen free! Have courage! Be fiercely loyal, to the Self. This will guarantee that which you are seeking for – That which is eternal. This is the Truth, and it will set you free, no matter what form the relationship appears to be.

An important message to my beloved readers!
My work is changing! As of 2020, I will be shifting the focus of my articles away from astrology and into more on non-dual awakening, embodied liberation, spiritual teachings and intuitive consulting. This will move beyond what appears to be happening in the planetary spheres. Astrology is a useful tool, yet it is not the ultimate resource available to you – That which is beyond time and space. I invite you to join me on the journey – and I’m excited to share with you that my new website is coming very soon!

A finger pointing at the moon is not the moon. The finger is needed to know where to look for the moon, but if you mistake the finger for the moon itself, you will never know the real moon. The teaching is like a raft that carries you to the other shore. The raft is needed, but the raft is not the other shore. An intelligent person would not carry the raft around on his head after making it across to the other shore.  ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

New Moon in Libra: Jupiter's Gifts

This Friday we celebrate the New Moon in the cardinal air sign of Libra, bringing our attention to justice, balance, fairness, and grace. At this time, the great benefactor Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, is just getting ramped up on his one-year journey through the sign of Libra (September 9, 2016 until October 10, 2017). Jupiter is closely conjunct this New Moon, unfurling his evolutionary message for all to receive.

Jupiter aka Jove aka Zeus at his best is our generous uncle who brings us big presents with his huge presence, his grand largesse. This means that wherever Libra is in our chart, we can get ready to expand, grow, receive gifts. Fantastic! Yet like most events astrological and cosmological, we must look out for signs and keep our antennae attuned. Remember: Luck is preparedness meets opportunity.

Jupiter is also known as the guru or teacher planet. The generous one often knows better than we do, what is good for us. So pay attention to what he is offering!

In the sign of Libra, the themes may have to do with updating our contracts, spoken and unspoken, written or unwritten. This could be our social contracts, our relationship with society or institutions. It could involve the way you do business, the way you express yourself with others, the way you relate to your lover, spouse, friend. Whatever is being highlighted, you won’t be able to ignore the push for growth, for learning, for – ahem – that five-letter word ‘change.’ Jupiter stretches us in order to evolve.

As a taster and teaser, I’ve put together a list of zodiac signs, along with a hint of how Jupiter’s expansion might stretch your life. You may wish to read your Sun, Moon, and Rising Sign. In fact, the Rising Sign will be the best indicator of this transit’s influence.

Since we are on the topic of stretching and expanding, as a treat I’m including a yoga pose (asana) that I intuitively sense will assist you as you grow into Jupiter’s current teachings for your sign. Try it out, and have fun contemplating your growth and evolution while you practice.

Jupiter in Libra: Yoga Asana by Zodiac Sign

Aries: You are expanding in the area of partnerships. New revisions, agreements are highlighted. Contracts are favored, legal disputes will be successful. Yoga asana: Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
Taurus: Jupiter wants you to expand your daily habits. Do more in your regular activities to stay in balance. Your health should thrive and your job should bring you happiness. Yoga asana: Tree Pose (Vrksasana)

Gemini: Play! Expand your berth (but not your girth!). Flirt! Go out to shows. Dress in costume. Have a great time. Throw romance in! Yoga asana: Bird of Paradise (Svarga Dvijasana)

Cancer: Focus on your home. Things are improving there. Good luck in real estate, rental agreements, roommates. Foundations. Yoga asana: Squat (Malasana)

Leo: Grow your local community. Talk to your neighbors. Be seen in your ‘hood. Make yourself known to folks. Get the word out to those in your daily life. Yoga asana: Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I)

Virgo: Expand your earning capacity! Build up your wealth and reserves. Money is good right now. Be grateful and don’t overspend. Yoga asana: Chair pose (Uktatasana)

Libra: You are making your presence known to the world and to your own self. Watch your waistline! Sometimes having Jupiter in your First House can mean that it is actually YOU that grows. Focus on the new you. Yoga asana: Easy pose (Sukhasana)

Scorpio: You are protected spiritually. Even when you don’t know what to do, you have a guardian angel or an aura of light surrounding you. Trust the process and let go. Yoga asana: Legs up the wall (Viparita Karani)

Sagittarius: Expand your network, grow your global community. Disseminate all the good wisdom you’ve stored up and connect to your friend base. The world needs to hear more of and from you. Yoga asana: Half-Moon Pose (Ardha Chandrasana)

Capricorn: Succeed. Attain your ambition through taking on more responsibility and a bigger role. Shine your light and take a big leap in your career. Yoga asana: Warrior III (Virabhadrasana II)
Aquarius: The world is looking to you as teacher and philosopher. Travel further and wider, break rules and teach us how to do the same. Yoga asana: Fierce Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana)

Pisces: It’s time for a reinvention, rebirth and rising up from the ashes. Transformation is being supported right now. While you go through the metamorphosis, you will be shedding lots and lots of old skin. Yoga asana: Cobra pose (Bhujangasana)

If the pose offered is too advanced, feel free to find another one that expresses the qualities of Jupiter presented. Enjoy the play of the cosmos expressed on your yoga mat, and honor the guru within you!

New Moon in Leo: Take a Creative Risk

This Friday, August 14 (7:53 am PT), we welcome a New Moon in the fixed fire sign of show-stopping Leo, beckoning flash, fun, and friskiness - as well as a great need to be admired and adored!

Remember: New Moons are seed-planting times. For the remainder of the month, we are invited to strike a pose, take a chance and do something big and showy. The Leo Moon, Sun, and Venus ménage à trois is spurred on by a lovely trine to trendsetting Uranus. Uranus is in fellow fire-starter sign of Aries, making sure we try something fresh and don’t get stuck in ‘old hat.’

This is a fah-bulous time, Darling, to put energy toward launching a new creative project with an element of risk – putting on a house concert or producing a CD, for example. Or hosting a grand summer's end party at your house-castle in which you invite everyone you know to bask in your presence. Or take a trip to a new, exotic country and broadcast it via your blog. Or begin a super-involved renovation that will cost a pretty penny yet look fantastic in the end - so worth it. Or splurge on a new wardrobe to strut your stuff in back to school, at a festival, or at your new job… Whatever the showy-risk is, the sign of Leo ensures that you will fill yourself up with the sunshine of inner confidence in order to do it.

Reinvent the Wheel: Chiron Quincunx

Chiron, aka the Wounded Healer, in ultra-sensitive Pisces, makes a tight quincunx (150-degree) aspect with the Sun, Moon and Venus all in self-expressive Leo. Quincunxes force us to think outside the box and come up with completely new, often strange and unexpected solutions to challenges. This is a paradoxical New Moon that will require both internal and external adjustments. Chiron in Pisces (2010-2018) is helping us all to heal old trauma and hurts by rinsing salt from our wounds through feeling our feelings without judgment or repression, and through coming out of old martyr or victim complexes. How might this impact our delightfully spunky and optimistic need to share our big lion hearts? Is Chiron going to be a buzzkill?

No way. When Chiron in Pisces looks askance at showy, standout Leo, it is creative genius at its finest hour. Let the imagination seduction begin. Herein lies a major opportunity to “feel the fear and do it anyway.” Even if you’re scared and face the risk of failure or (gasp) rejection, put yourself out there anyway! The ‘worst’ that could happen is that you stumble, and learn in the process what your true needs are. Unlikely, so long as you keep listening to your heart-art. Chances are, you will pull it off with panache and a splash!

Dolce and Gabbana
"Creativity is seeing what everyone else has seen, and thinking what no one else has thought." ~ Albert Einstein (Pisces)

The ‘risky-frisky’ element of this New Moon makes it even more important to cultivate one of the best aspects of the sign of the Lion: healthy self-love. When you believe in your self, your heart, your art, your unique and special purpose, you shine bright. In fact, this is what is known as charisma. It actually sparkles and can be seen as an aura of glamour in those that have it.

Think about the admired rock stars or famous actors you’ve encountered face to face or in a live performance. They positively shimmer, don’t they? That’s star power. That’s charisma. Some lucky individuals are born with a natural confidence, while some of us must do the work of cultivating it. But we all have access to stardust – in fact, we are made of it.

Transiting Saturn finishing up his final hour in Scorpio will be squaring the New Moon, so be forewarned that you will probably have to roll up your sleeves and do some WORK (a four-letter word for pleasure-loving Leo) to get this party started. The cool thing about Saturn’s influence is that while he does make us put some elbow grease into it, he always gives us a reward. The work pays off. Your fire will positively glow and we will all benefit from the warmth.

Worried about coming across as “too full of yourself”? Throw that question out the window. Love yourself through any self-doubt. Remember: you deserve it. Get out there. We need your shimmer.
