Full Moon In Aries: The Need to Be Free

Today, October 8, we have a Full Moon total Lunar Eclipse in the fire sign of Aries, in effect over the next two weeks. I’ve been awaiting this lunation because the aspects are so exhilarating, like a much-anticipated blockbuster release. And, being an eclipse, what moves through our lives at this time is beyond our control. It is Destiny on the Mound, throwing us a curve-ball pitch. We can’t avoid the curve, but we can do our best to keep our eye on the ball and knock that sucker straight outta the park, or at the very least get a solid, game-changing hit. In short, if we heed the signs, pay close attention, and move deftly, we can springboard off this Full Moon to change our lives for good.

I do love that the World Series is going on during this lunation, for Aries is the sign of competitive sports! Even if we’re not baseball fans, we can see how the Ram’s Moon calls us to fight for our rights to win at whatever game of life we’re currently playing, to be #1! Aries wants you to call upon your inner Trailblazer, calling forth the fervent individualist streak in each of us. This Full Moon opposes the Sun in “we-we-we” Libra at this time; old, codependent routines will not work right now. Coping mechanisms that try to over-accommodate others’ needs, desires, neuroses are falling away like autumn leaves. To this, the Self says, “Huzzah!” It’s a grand time to be alive, to be focused on the “I.”

The Full Moon in Aries asks us to firmly stand on our own two feet. Sure, we must be aware of aggression and imposing our will on others, but even so, we need to pursue our own track and not cater to others at our own expense. Since this is an eclipse, we wouldn’t be able to if we tried. Eclipses, as mentioned, wear the clothes of Destiny. Trust that urge to do something that seems, well, selfish. It’s probably not as self-centered as you think. You might simply be fishing for your Self!

Since this Full Moon is tightly conjunct Uranus, the Great Awakener and Master of “Surprise!”, we can expect the unexpected. Like I said, you know a curve-ball is coming from the pitcher’s mound, so if you’ve been showing up to practice, you won’t be thrown off too badly. To the degree you’ve been living authentically and being true to yourself, you won’t be shocked; however, do expect others to be surprised by any seemingly erratic shifts or moves you make.

Uranus, according to Libra Sun/Aries Rising astrologer Steven Arroyo, “speeds up the rhythm of nature, hastening change; disrupts, revolutionizes, brings to awareness whatever was just below the threshold of consciousness.” So take note of that last bit: the more we are in tune with our own subconscious – the more we pay attention to the signs, the rumblings of the psyche, our dream messages – the less shocked we shall be.

To see where this might show up in our lives, we need the eye of a good astrologer to look at the Houses affected and any natal planets impacted. Because the signs involved are Aries and Libra, there will be a tone of relationship, whether a business partnership or a consultant or a love partner. You might divorce yourself from a professional relationship or call off a contract that’s lost its luster. Anywhere there’s a “me” and a “you” – there’s the clue.

The Full Moon/Uranus conjunction creates a supportive fire Grand Trine (three planets in 120-degree angles to each other): Jupiter in Leo speaks up for itself with a big voice and Mars in Sagittarius favors long-term vision over short-term people pleasing. Ask yourself, where are you restless? What contract is outdated? Remember that Mercury is Retrograde right now so it is absolutely not the time to initiate new verbal or written agreements (unless it’s unavoidable and carefully gone over with a fine-toothed comb!). For new contracts, wait until November, ideally. But breaking off things that have run past their sell-by date and no longer support your personal evolution – those garner a “go.” Even when you don’t have a “reasonable” backup plan, well, it doesn’t matter – you need to go there, like this fabulous Thoreau quote:

“I’d rather sit on a pumpkin
and have it all to myself,
than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
~ Henry David Thoreau

There are a couple of challenges to take note of, however! Pluto the Transmutation Planet in cardinal sign Capricorn creates a tense t-square to this Full Moon Eclipse, with 90-degree squares to both the Moon and Uranus in Aries, and the Sun and Venus in Libra. Control and holding-on-too-long issues may arise. So, let the freeing power of the eclipse do its thing and scatter the manipulative tendencies. The energy will then be dispersed to move in new directions, i.e. we can evolve.

Be forewarned: some egos will be hurt here. Chiron in Pisces is quincunx the Sun in Libra, a funny little 150-degree aspect that guarantees some discomfort and necessary adjustment. A bit of ego wounding will be unavoidable. Yep, we’re gonna have to expect that, unfortunately, when we stop people pleasing, people stop being pleased. I know that sounds like a self-help book but it’s true. And more than likely, our decisions are not going to be the only ones stirring up the pot here; we are likely to receive others’ rash Aries movements, too. So if you feel you’re hit with a 1-2 punch, check to see if you’ve over-identified with what you think “should” be happening. Perhaps that other person is simply expressing their right to sit on their own pumpkin!

Enjoy the change!
With love,

Astro-Tarot Forecast by Erin Reese ~ October 2014

Dear Friends:

The great autumnal transformation is in full throttle…what a glorious season of change, harvest, and color. I find it so creatively inspiring, and with this energy I’m thrilled to present your Astro-Tarot Forecast for October 2014!

September was ultra-busy for me with that “back to school” energy moving and shaking through my personal and professional life, so I couldn’t prepare this for you. I missed it, and I wonder if you did, too. Time-allowing, I’ll continue to do my best to post an Astro-Tarot Forecast each month for you, beloved readers.

This October is going to be quite a big month on the planetary front, with an evolutionarily intense Total Lunar Eclipse conjunct change-agent Uranus in Aries on October 8. You can look forward to my regular astrological forecast on that next week. Please also note that Mercury turns retrograde October 4 and so our trickster communication planet will be delivering all sorts of twists and turns on that front for the month – so do cross your t’s and dot your i’s carefully!

Now, without further ado, let’s see how October is lining up for YOU! Be sure to read your Sun, Moon, and Rising Sign for best results. For more personalized guidance, click here to see my offerings in Astrology, Tarot, Intuitive Consulting and Spiritual Counseling.

Astro-Tarot Forecast by Erin Reese ~ October 2014

ARIES: Eight of Swords
Ram, there are times this month where you’ll be feeling caught between a rock and a hard place, or for those more literary Aries, “between Scylla and Charibdis.” In short, when you’re using old ways of looking at your situation, you might feel really, really STUCK. When Mercury is Retrograde, you could feel like sticky circumstances are squelching your normally blazing inner fire and thwarting your attempts to get things done. Perhaps you’re barking up the wrong tree. Sit back, rest your mind and go within or distract yourself from the problem. A new course entirely will emerge by month’s end. Forcing anything right now will only perpetuate the struggle. October Theme for Aries: Give Up the Struggle

TAURUS: Queen of Wands
My earthy friend, you need to put on your professional hat this month. It’s a great time to pull in all that Gaia power beneath your feet and look at how you can better apply it to your career world. Own your authority, Taurus! You have raw, creative talent to share with the rest of us, and you can be recognized now. Powerful women in your life can be of great assistance to you in October. Let them help you rise higher. Look at feminist ways of conducting business. You don’t have to succeed via an iron fist. October Theme for Taurus: Professional Prowess

GEMINI: Ace of Cups
Make a new start this October based on a seed of Love. The Libra Sun and the Moon’s North Node continue to shine in your solar Fifth House of amore and creative babies. It’s time to drop deeper into your personal heart, Gem, and discover what you really, really want – let it be for you, selfish you. It doesn’t have to make sense; it doesn’t have to be practical or rational. Trust that the Divine has your back on this one. Say yes. October Theme for Gemini: Do It for Love

CANCER: The Empress
Lookie-you, O Cancerian! You’re riding a fertile, creative wave through October. Maybe your project hasn’t birthed into the world entirely yet, but you can rest assured that whatever you’ve been sitting on will yield abundant fruit in six months or less! So much is happening beneath the surface. Keep feeding your pet project – it’s developing beautifully! October Theme for Cancer: Creative Juiciness

LEO: Two of Cups
When you come face-to-face with a person you can deeply respect, Leo, your loyalty is unsurpassed. You give your whole heart to those who’ve earned it. October is the month to recognize that other person and the glorious team the two of you make, whether it’s a spouse, work colleague, or BFF (best friend forever). Tremendous healing comes to you this month through celebrating partnership. October Theme for Leo: The Power of Two

VIRGO: Page of Wands
All of your activities are humming along, the “dishes are done,” and you’ve got energy to spare, Virgo. It’s time for you to chart a new course. A surprise message or invitation will come your way this month – a phone call, a card or letter, an email – which sends you on a hunt for that “something new.” Take a side trip, spread your wings a bit. Your spirit needs to soar and you need fresh energy to spark up your life. October theme for Virgo: Heed the Call

LIBRA: The Moon
Many Librans will feel a huge pull of the total lunar eclipse on October 8, for it’s in your opposite sign of Aries. You may be uncomfortably confronted or your need to have it all diplomatic and copacetic may be challenged. October may not be harmonious mid-month, so be prepared. You’re going to have to trust that whatever Big Change comes your way, it will not be in your hands. Let the Universe put things back into balance in its own way. It will all work out, don’t worry! Your dreams could be prophetic this month. October theme for Libra: Not In My Hands

SCORPIO: Eight of Pentacles
Work, earn, refine, focus. You’ve got to get down to brass tacks this month, Scorp, for you have plenty of work to do. Roll up your sleeves, humble yourself, and keep at it. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and by the same token, neither will your magnum opus, nor your cherished accolades come to fruition overnight. Let your bank account be bolstered cent by cent – you will get there. Right now, it’s not about the amount of money and reward coming in, it’s the slow and steady route. Sometimes, it can feel like a grind, but find joy in the daily practice of showing up to your workbench. October theme for Scorpio: Suit up and show up

SAGITTARIUS: The World
In some way, Sagittarius, you’ve hit a peak in your life. Your Spirit is whole, complete, and full-filled at the moment. You’ve achieved so much already in 2014 – just look at the past nine months. It’s been a huge accomplishment year and it’s only October. This month is time for you to recognize just how far you’ve come. You have great wisdom and perspective to share with others and just about anything you touch will succeed in your own unique way. October theme for Sagittarius: “I am a success!”

CAPRICORN: The Lovers
It is only natural to crave uniting with a beloved, Cappy. Sometimes you can be so independent and responsible you forget how a partner can contribute greatly to your universe. October is a time to let the idea percolate a bit more. If you’re single, ask yourself, “What would my life be like if I opened myself to real love again?” If already paired, ask, “What would my life be like if I allowed myself to open up more deeply in this holy union?” October theme for Capricorn: Opening Up to Another

AQUARIUS: King of Swords
Speak, Aquarius! Speak! You’re meant to use the power of your thought-sword as words this October. Write, talk, profess your wisdom in authoritative ways. You have a fair, just, correct and accurate message to put forth to your world community at large. Trust that you have all you need and get the word out. Share your passionate vision. Your ideas cannot be held back! October theme for Aquarius: Speak Your Mind

PISCES: Three of Pentacles
Time for you to work on a communal, hands-on project this month, Fish. The earth element is your friend, so somehow get involved in your community of friends, neighbors, work-mates and make something long-lasting together. Your efforts will not go unnoticed. It will be successful so long as you build, step-by-step, in cooperation. You’ve got what it takes so take pride in your project! October theme for Pisces: One Brick at a Time

Happy October, everyone!
Warm wishes,
Erin

New Moon in Libra: Back in Balance

Tonight and tomorrow, September 23-24, we have a New Moon in the air sign of Libra, sign of the Balancing Scales. All New Moons ask us to start again, and this is a special lunation in that we are literally turning over a new leaf with the Fall Equinox upon us as well. The season is changing within and without. It is time to ask, what do we need to bring into our lives, our lifestyles, and our relationships in order to get back into balance?

Libra is a cardinal sign, signifying initiative energy, and the Moon falls on the first degree – two more clues that we’re due for a fresh start. Not only that: Pluto, the Great Transformer, has just turned Direct on September 22 after a six-month retrograde in which his powerful energy was restricted. Whew. Now we can at least get on with the show when it comes to making utter and total changes, rebirths large and small which will impact our lives to the core. So if you need surgery, a home renovation, a healing cleanse, a tax overhaul, a new psychotherapist – this fall is the time to let it in, or out, as the case may be.

Now, let’s turn to the New Moon in the sign of the Scales, and find out what we’re being asked to contemplate, integrate, and commit to (for lover Libra loves commitments!).

THE DANCE OF RELATIONSHIP

Libra wants us to cultivate harmonious surroundings and relationships in order to feel good. Libra thrives off relationship, whether we’re talking a spouse, a business partner, a date, or a family member, and requires equilibrium. The challenge for us during this New Moon is to NOT look for the balance and fairness in the externals of our relationships. Trying to find ultimate feel-good pleasantness between two people can be effective, but improving communication techniques goes so far. Absolute equipoise is an ideal; we need to allow for humans being, well, human. Like an airplane flying to Hawaii over the Pacific, you may be off exact course 99% of the time, with tiny or big wavering depending on air stream, weather, equipment, etc. But you will get there.

Eventually, the peace we are looking for MUST come from our own inner nature. Libra teaches us we much balance head with heart. This can be difficult to learn and integrate. Often, men are challenged, through genes and conditioning, to drop swiftly into their heart center. Conversely, women are typically more comfortable and conditioned to thrive in their feeling nature. Yes, this makes women often appear “hyper-sensitive,” and men come across as “insensitive” or arrogant when they are rationalizing. Can the twain ever meet? Regardless of gender, there is a gap to bridge in order to come back into balance. Perhaps both parties can become nimbler at shifting between head and heart to facilitate inner and outer harmony.

You may ask yourself, do you become emotionally distraught when harmony is disrupted? Do you lean so much toward approval, pleasantness and feeling good that you get caught off-guard, creating issues in your relationships? Are you swayed toward favoring one way of seeing, thinking, behaving, perceiving, feeling versus the other? There’s your balance bugaboo, every time! This is not inquiry for the meek of heart. The New Moon in Libra asks us to both face our orientation conditioning and detach from it. Absolute harmony is, ultimately, an inside job.

BODILY HARMONY
Tree pose in Thailand

For some of us, coming back into balance could literally mean just that: upping our yoga, dance or movement classes in order to facilitate bodily harmony. Tai Chi, Qi Gong, dynamic meditation techniques – any physical practice that integrates mind and body will do – even breathing consciously while working in the garden or raking leaves! Inner equipoise translates quickly into outer grace.

Even if you’re not a big yogi, one very simple pose that you can practice this autumn is tree pose (vriksasana) – fitting for fall, honoring the changing colors of our foliage friends outside. See how your balance improves with practice; eventually, you’ll be able to stand in tree pose, arms overhead, with your eyes closed. Start by gradually looking up at the ceiling more while you’re in the posture. Once you’ve stabilized in tree pose, effortlessly move into dancer’s pose (natarajasana) without dropping your foot to the floor first. Natarajasana, honoring Shiva performing his eternal dance of creation and destruction as well as beauty, poise, grace.

Perfect for Libra.

Full Moon in Pisces: Emotional Sensitivity

Chiron the Wounded Healer
Tonight and tomorrow, September 8 and 9, we have a Full Moon in the mutable water sign of Pisces, non-dual sign of the Fishes. Full Moons shed light and potency in order to bring conscious awareness to a part of our life that we need to look at more closely. Full Moons are often emotional, and this week’s lunation is particularly so. We may feel delicate, touchy, hypersensitive. It is not the time to push the river. It is time to lay off and go easy on people, including family, friends, housemates, lovers, coworkers and especially ourselves.

It is a good time to practice restraint of pen and tongue, as words may act as swords now. Mercury, the communicator planet, is in a challenging square aspect to Pluto, ruler of the depths and underworld. Expressing what we feel and think in a useful manner might not come easily at this time. Whatever is hidden in the dark corners of our minds may be clamoring to come forth, but we may not know how to bring it out gracefully. Mercury is in Libra, the Scales of Justice, so diplomacy is strove for; yet, Pluto is in authoritarian Capricorn, challenging our sense of equality and harmony. Further turning up the heat is Uranus in fiery Aries, opposing Mercury and squaring Pluto. Volatility and surprise, rash outbursts are possible so it will help much if we can cool our jets and wait for the emotional wave to pass before lashing out. Also, we can try to forgive others for being upsetting or defensive, too.

Venus is traveling through Virgo right now, opposing dreamy, non-committal Neptune in Pisces. Venus, goddess of love, art, and wealth, in the sign of Virgo can be – well – picky and pick on her loved ones, even if she means well and is only trying to offer helpful fixes. Are we trying to improve our family members, our partners, ourselves ad nauseam? Perhaps this is a good time to let things go, let others do it their own funny-to-us way. Does it matter how the toilet paper is placed on the roll? Can’t the dishes sit in the sink once in a while? Can the article be published even if it's not a Pulitzer prizewinner? Who cares, really?

Perfectly Imperfect

Why are we so sensitive right now? Perhaps it is because, when it comes to heart and soul, we need to feel it to heal it. This Pisces Full Moon is tightly conjunct the asteroid Chiron, known as the Wounded Healer. When Chiron is involved, we may find old wounds reopened, and get easily hurt. In mythology, Chiron was a centaur who suffered a wound that never totally healed, but his persistent search for a remedy motivated Chiron his whole life. He taught and assisted so many other gods and humans and creatures along the journey.  Chiron reminds us that although a complete solution may not be possible, we still must do something about it. It’s not going to be perfect, it just has to be good enough.

Creative, unstructured Full Moon in Pisces can be a messy time within and without – and sometimes being disheveled is a part of the mysterious process of life. Just look at Nature: we find glory and grace in the incongruous, random swaths of color and vitality everywhere. Can we find the beauty in our own pain and imperfection in the same way?

Chiron and the Moon in Pisces are receiving help in a trine aspect from the planet Saturn in Scorpio at this time. Saturn asks us to try and build worldly structures to support the spirit now, as well as our sensitive homes and bodies. It may not be perfect, and we may never entirely get our needs and wants met. But, does an unattainable ideal of perfection need to get in the way of our happiness in the present moment? Absolutely not.

Look at the possibilities of what you can do, what you can make happen in your given situation. Remember to not fight the inevitable. Accepting the things we cannot change frees us to focus on the things we can. Also, Pisces rules the dream time, so we may find guidance and solace in our nightly journeys. What symbols are passing through your dream life? Are you sensing a theme? What are you processing?  Look for clues bubbling up from the unconscious.

Let the Pisces Moon show us how we can accept others, ourselves and situations as they are - a little disheveled, a little wounded, and a whole lot of beautiful. Revel in the enormity of life: just perfect – even when it’s not.

New Moon in Virgo: Disciplined Action

On Monday, August 25, we have a New Moon in Virgo, the mutable, rational earth sign. It’s no surprise that Virgo season is typically “Back to School” time around the world. Kids of all ages return to their education, whether in an actual classroom or by gearing up for a new work cycle after the Labor Day holidays.

Ruled by information-savvy, rational Mercury, Virgo energy brings us into alignment with the practical, discerning mind. Unlike connection-making air sign Gemini, who is also Mercury-ruled, earthy Virgo carefully filters input, deriving the most pertinent points. Virgo then rolls up its sleeves and takes the organized data into the world to get down to business in a useful, formative manner.

And that’s what we’re asked to do now: look at the details of our lives, and get down to business. Where are we being called to be of service in a hands-on fashion? Where do we need to go back to work, or back to school as the case may be? Where and how do we need to get organized?

We can establish good foundations and systems in our lives right now, preparing for the Harvest Moon in two weeks, in dreamy, boundless Pisces. Only when we have sound structures in our lives can we then trust the flow. With effective and tested systems, we will be able to make good use of the imagination and expansiveness sure to come during the September 8th Full Moon in Pisces.

So get your calendaring up to date, your software installed, your proposals outlined, your tool shed de-cluttered, your kitchen cupboards organized. You’re going to want to do it by the first week of September, making best use of the helping-hand New Moon in Virgo.

DISCIPLINED ACTION

We have an important planetary aspect occurring right now that corroborates this New Moon energy: Saturn, the karmic cop, is exactly conjunct (aligned with) Mars, the action-instigator, in Scorpio. These two have their differences, to be sure, but with a lot of awareness and disciplined action, one can move big mountains utilizing their combined energies. Saturn requires us to work within the world, the maya of life. He asks for structure, organization, long-term goals and gives us the capacity to do hard work. He wants us to make the most of our relatively short life on this planet and add meaning to the mix – to leave our legacy.

Mars, on the other hand, offers drive, free will, and power to get things done. You can see where their union can be a great match! The push-pull danger, however, can come from frustration when our impulsive, spontaneous Mars natures and passions are slowed down by curmudgeonly Saturn.

The solution? Use Mars’ energy, vitality, and action to run a marathon, not a sprint. Whatever you’re working toward and implementing at this New Moon in Virgo, make sure it’s got longevity, purpose, meaning, and depth. Let’s not forget these two planets are currently in Scorpio – the rebirth sign of deep investigations, sex, death, and emotional intimacy/intensity...

If you’re getting flack in your feedback, slow down and breathe. Check to be sure you’re not exhibiting impatience due to lack of trust in the process. Ask Sir Saturn what you need to implement or change in order to evolve and capitalize upon red planet Mars’ power. Once you get that key data point in place, your world will hum along much more smoothly.

In sum, at this time of New Moon in Virgo, remember: long-term planning and projects are favored, along with attention to detail, tempered and effective action, and patience. Hard work will be asked of you, but there is a guaranteed payout at the end of the road. You can achieve anything right now, so long as you apply the Virgo discriminating mind to it! Have fortitude and confidence that your ambition and dedication will enable to you to successfully launch a completely new chapter in your life, leaving a legacy that is uniquely yours.

Full Moon in Aquarius: The Way I Are

Hundertwasser
It’s your thing. Do what you wanna do.
I can’t tell ya who to sock it to.
 ~ The Isley Brothers (1969)

Today, August 10, we have a Full Moon in the freedom-lovin’ air sign of Aquarius, the Water Bearer. During this time of loonier lunar energy, we are meant to reflect on our own quirks and individual brand of liberty. If there’s anything the sign of Aquarius is hooked on, it’s personal freedom! With the Water Bearer, anything goes – and yep, I mean you can do anything and it's fine with them, as long as it does not impinge upon their ability to do whatever they want, too!

At this ‘let your freak flag fly’ Full Moon of August, we can ask ourselves, what does it mean to confidently do our own thing? And, at the same time: how do we tolerate others who are unyielding in doing things their way? Perhaps it all boils down to “live and let live.”

TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE

Aquarius energy is truthful, independent, ahead of its time, and may not make sense to everyone else. Aquarius marches to her own drum, dances to her own didgeridoo. She is a fixed, committed sign, and playing by her own rules, she gets the job done! If your Aquarius (Sun, Rising, Moon) or Uranian-influenced friend, lover, boss or employee tells you that he or she is going to do something, you can be 99% sure it’s going to happen. Finishing is one of the Water Bearer’s greatest attributes. It’s an integrity thing.

We all carry Aquarius in our birth charts somewhere. It is the visionary voice within that encourages us to be offbeat and be firm in our convictions. It's our special niche of life, where we must do things differently than the rest of the herd. If we remember that we are all part Aquarius, we can be a whole lot more tolerant of other people’s idiosyncrasies. They’re not trying to be annoying; they’re just being themselves.

Aquarius flouts any rule that does not make good sense to them, on that particular day. It doesn’t matter if something is considered right or wrong according to contemporary society. It has to abide by a higher law, an ideal that Aquarius sees will truly benefit the world and the self, at that moment in time. Otherwise, forget it.

I should know: I’m an Aquarius, and so is my partner. Neither of us will budge a millimeter to move on something unless it makes sense to us, to our ideals. We ain’t moving, baby, unless the principal is sound. If that checks out, well, then, you’ve got a committed teammate, no question!

THE WAY I ARE

In preparation for today’s article, I revisited a tome of the great astrologer Linda Goodman, one of my inspirations. In Love Signs, Linda reminds me that Aquarius is not trying to be cruel or obstinate when they don’t compromise with the world’s needs or requests. Not at all. It’s just that Aquarius, quite simply, cannot do that which he or she is not designed to do. It is the quintessential sign of independence, through and through.

Banksy

Aquarius lives on hunches and Uranian intuition. At this time of the Full Moon, trust that people are answering a higher calling, a pull toward the Future.

If I say I must do something that seems particularly strange, trust that I am following a knowing in my soul. I have vision. I have integrity. I have commitment. I am an Aquarius, after all, and when I give you my word, it’s sprinkled with stardust and solid as a space rock.

AUGUST 2014 ASTRO-TAROT Forecast by Erin Reese

ERIN REESE'S ASTRO-TAROT MESSAGES
AUGUST 2014

Dear friends,
I’m pleased to present your Astro-Tarot sign-by-sign forecasts for the month of August!

Got a love, romance, relationship question?
Check out the special love reading offer below!
Now, let’s look at the Forecast for August!

For best results, as always, be sure to read for your Sun, Moon and Rising Sign!
After purifying my Universal Waite Tarot deck and calling upon my guides, here are my channeled messages for August 2014:

ARIES:
XIII - DEATH
Some spiritual teachings say that Life is one big series of transitions, and living and experiencing are all "in-between times." Living occurs between a series of births and deaths, and it’s a constant change from one state to another. That is the meaning of the Death card for you this month, dear Aries. Death is by no means a permanent state of affairs or a complete ending. It is time for you to let go of that which you’ve outgrown, and that which no longer serves you in this life, whether a person, a job, a home, or way of life. Don’t resist the transitions this August, Ram!

TAURUS:
TEN OF SWORDS
This card is a warning, dear Taurus, that you’re at risk for bottoming out due to over-committing, or overdoing it. Sometimes, the Bull is stubborn and finds it hard to let go of habits, people, or behaviors. This is “staying power,” and is one of your gifts, but also can be a hindrance. Make sure you’re not overstaying your welcome somewhere, or over-giving to a person, cause, or situation that’s lost its usefulness in your life. Be honest with yourself; it’s the best place to start.

GEMINI:
XVIII – THE MOON
Gemini, you can be so busy-busy in waking life that you forget the importance of paying close attention during the Dream Time. This month, you’re being called to get ample sleep. Have a ‘lie-in,’ as the Brits call it, i.e. sleep in more often. Or, get to bed earlier, by 10pm if you can. You need a good dream cycle or two each night so the more hidden parts of your psyche can whisper their treasures to you. Keep a dream journal.

CANCER:
FOUR OF CUPS
You got this same card last month, dear Cancer! The Universe continues to remind you that while you do need ample alone time in your Crab shell, at home, you may be missing out on opportunities being offered to you. See what the Life is bringing, and practice discernment. Maybe for every three times you say “no” to a social invite, you say “yes” to one very special offer – and savor it. Save your time, money, and energy for the quality time with the quality people you love, starting with YOU.

LEO:
I – THE MAGICIAN
It is time for you to practice magic in your life again, Leo. We’re talking about the fine arts of manifestation. You have a dream, a vision, and the Universe has gifted you with all the elements and forces to make it a reality. Concentrate and focus, dear Lion. Don’t waste your special power and talents! Make it happen this month! It is your birthday season, after all. Wish, act, and make it all come true!

VIRGO:
QUEEN OF CUPS
August is a month for you to honor the Divine Feminine in your life, Virgo. No matter if you’re a man or a woman, yin qualities must be cultivated, such as receptivity, caring, tenderness, intuition and spiritual healing. This is the sweet month before your birthday in which you get to reflect gently on all that you’ve been gifted with over the past year. Take time to thank the Divine for all She has bestowed upon you, and in particular, thank Mother Earth for the bounty She’s shared with you. You are an earth sign, after all!

LIBRA:
SEVEN OF SWORDS
Libra, the sign of the Scales, values honesty and Justice. You have a special pet peeve when folks bend the truth or withhold information from you. It drives you nuts! You prefer everyone to be forthright and forthcoming, and elegant at the same time. Well, occasionally those humans act like silly humans and aren’t so aboveboard or nice. Instead of getting upset with them, Libra, try practicing trust in the Universe: they will learn their lessons in their own way. You don’t have to say a word to them, nor do you need to waste energy in frustration. Justice will be delivered in due time.
SCORPIO:
TWO OF CUPS
Scorpio is the sign of depth and raw intimacy. When an attraction is there, it is the real thing – it’s full on, and very intense. Should you act on it this month? Whether we’re talking about a creative lead, a business opportunity or love affair, you won’t be able to resist temptation if you tried.  The attraction is too strong. Meet the offer head-on, eye-to-eye, and trust that it is a connection favored by universal forces. Merge.

SAGITTARIUS:
TWO OF SWORDS
Sag, you are a master at using “big mind,” and seeing the visionary big picture. You get the grand scheme of things intuitively; this is your strength. Yet, if you try to figure out the ‘what ifs’ and logical consequences of every possible outcome, it closes off your heart and third eye and you get stuck. If your decision-making comes to a stalemate this month, see if you’re over-analyzing. Go back to trusting the process and knowing there is a plan. You may not know how it’s going to be implemented yet, but it’s going to move forward just fine.

CAPRICORN:
TEN OF WANDS
The Goat is known for perseverance and meeting responsibilities, yes. But do you know when to back off? Perhaps they’re someone else's responsibilities to meet, and your stepping in all the time prevents others from learning to fish for themselves. Remember the old saying, “Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he’ll eat forever.” You might be getting drained unnecessarily and depriving another person of the dignity of gaining self respect through accomplishing something. This August, carry out your own tasks, Cappy, and let others do their own part.

AQUARIUS:
KING OF CUPS
Aquarius, you have a marked ability to detach emotionally from a person or situation. It gives you great objectivity and the ability to move forward, into the future without getting hung up. This August, however, you need to try to add an extra dose of warmth, caring, and concern to your detachment mode. Let others know their feelings are important, even if you don’t share them. Empathy is your keyword this month. Show it. Toward yourself, too!

PISCES:
KING OF SWORDS
Sensitive Fish would rather swim to the bottom of the sea and hide in an underwater cove than confront another person with an uncomfortable topic. But this month, Pisces are asked to stand up for themselves. Wield a dispassionate sword of truth and speak your mind. Set boundaries and firmly hold true to them. If you don’t speak up for yourself, who will? You can do it!
