Erin's Schedule 🌈PLUS Quick Tips for Peace of Mind!

Hello beloved readers!

I hope you feel warmth in your heart today and feel love and connected, no matter how you choose to spend this weekend.  I know many of us are honoring special people that have passed away. May the spirits of those folks continue to touch our lives in positive and inspiring ways.

To honor the New Moon in Gemini and my loved ones who have passed, including my dear father and my spiritual teacher, I made 12 sage smudge sticks this weekend. I walked into the subalpine valley, meditated with the sagebrush, and offered tobacco in the traditional fashion of native peoples, giving thanks and asking permission to take some of the plant. I then sat by the fire, played Indian kirtan music, and trimmed and wrapped the bundles. I was so happy to make these for my friends and family, to help us all keep our homes and selves clear and serene.

Please take one of these virtual smudgesticks for yourself! They are now drying and are amazing!

Quick Tips for Peace of Mind in Pandemonium

This time of “pandemonium” has been up, down, and all around. Like everyone else, this has been a mix of fantastic silver linings, blended with confusion, joy, inspiration, grief, and above all, change. Everything is constantly changing. This, we all know. Yet, the corona pandemic has been a time of unprecedented global change in our post-modern world, and no matter how spiritually fit we are, we are human and must feel all the feels. This has been an incomprehensible shared experience. It is one massive adjustment individually and collectively, and that requires time, space, support, and respect for the process.

Here are some helpful reminders if you’ve been needing an attitude adjustment – these are all things that work for me regularly, and continue to see me through now and in all times of huge change:

-          Make your gratitude list (in your head, verbally, on the back of an envelope, in your journal).

-          Stay in Present Time. You’ll notice this one is needed when you feel burned out on the question, “What is going to happen?” No one knows. Let it all unfold.

-          Feel your feelings. Cry. Process. Write. Stretch. Call a friend. Get support. It’s okay – and necessary - to allow your upset to well up. This is not a time for spiritual bypass.

-          Make simple diet or lifestyle changes to support your mental health. Now more than ever, we need clear channels for our inner guidance to flow through, giving us ease and peace of mind.

-          Trust the Great Unfolding. Even if you feel mistrust toward a person, idea, or situation, we can always trust the Great Unfolding of What Is. In the understanding of the Absolute, this is ultimately perfect, and that Consciousness is manifesting exactly what is needed. We are not separate from all that is.

-          Go easy on yourself. This is not a time for criticizing your appearance, body, fitness regimen. We are all doing the past we can. If you are guided to exercise or eat differently, do so – let it arise naturally. Yet, if it’s all you can do to get out of bed in the morning and take a deep breath, that is enough. (Actually, even getting out of bed is optional; breathing is enough.)

I am so grateful for you. See you on the journey.

With love,

Erin
